WHAT IS UPSL?
The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) was formed in 2011 and is a National “Pro Development” (amateur) soccer league for Men, Women, and Youth. It is designed to provide players, coaches, and fans with a highly-competitive playing experience. The UPSL is the largest Pro Development League in North America with more than 325 teams.
Joining the UPSL offers an elevated platform for our current youth players, alumni, and other motivated athletes, providing them with the opportunity to develop and reach their full potential. This program is designed specifically for those competing at a high level.
This new initiative highlights our dedication to providing competitive soccer opportunities for women within our community. The UPSL bridges the significant gap between youth soccer and the professional level, supporting thousands of ambitious players and coaches as they pursue their goals and passions.
By participating in UPSL Women, our players have the chance to refine their skills and push themselves beyond the youth stage. Our team competes at an elite level, demonstrating the talent and commitment of our athletes. We are excited to proudly represent our local communities in the seasons ahead.
General Information
Who can play?
Our UPSL program is considered the most competitive team in our club. Most of our players have experience as standouts in high school, played collegiately, or semi-professionally in previous years. Anyone with a 2008 or older birth year are eligible.
Players offered a roster spot are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment to both training & games.
Current travel players are eligible to participate in UPSL in addition to their youth league.
When and where are games/training?
Games are held 2-3x/week from May-July. All home games will be held at either Lakeville North or South HS Stadiums. Away games are throughout the Twin Cities area.
Training will be held 1-2x/week at various locations in Lakeville.
How is the team selected?
The majority of players will be selected via our tryout process. Additional players may be offered based on individual trial opportunities if needed.

What is the cost?
Tryout Fee: $40/player
The season cost is $400 for players offered a spot following tryouts.
Fee includes all league associated fees, insurance, paid coach, facilities, and uniforms.
